2016 was a landmark year for Michael Chapman. As well as celebrating his 75th birthday it was also 50 years since he first went on the road professionally. Chapman is known as one of the UK’s best finger picking style guitar players and is considered to be a pivotal figure in roots, folk and acoustic guitar playing over the last 50 years.

Formed in 1917, during the First World War, Grimethorpe Colliery Band is a British institution. National and British Open Champions on numerous occasions, the band’s contest successes remain legendary. These include 16 Brass In Concert Championship titles, 11 times Yorkshire Regional Champions, two English National Championship victories, four times British Open Champions and four times National Champion Brass Band of Great Britain.

John Coghlan joined Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in their newly-formed band ‘The Spectres’ in 1962, before becoming Status Quo in the late 60s when Rick Parfitt also joined the line-up. During the late nineties John Coghlan’s Quo was formed and through various line-ups has enjoyed regular gigs all over the UK and Europe. The prime aim is to recreate an authentic “70’s Quo Sound” in keeping with John’s time with Quo.

As everyone knows, The Rutles story began on January 21, 1959 at 43 Egg Lane, Liverpool, where Ron Nasty and Dirk McQuickly first bumped into each other. Ron invited Dirk to help him stand up. Raymond continues to write and tour around the world with his band performing songs spanning a 54 year career.
