Raymond Froggatt first formed his band in Birmingham in 1964, surrounded by talented friends including the likes of Black Sabbath's Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi as well as the Electric Light Orchestra's Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood among others. Raymond continues to write and tour around the world with his band performing songs spanning a 54 year career.

Multi-million selling soul band The Real Thing are ready to give their much loved disco inspired hits a new lease of life with an extensive UK tour. Following the tragic death of Eddie Amoo in February 2018, Chris Amoo and Dave Smith, have pledged to continue touring as a duo, along with their 5-piece band. They will deliver a funky ‘in your face’ show with a strong ‘retro flavour’ with the band’s classic songs mixed with contemporary grooves.
As part of Armed Forces Day, The Platform will host Army, Navy and Air force veteran and modern service equipment and models including submarines, ships, aircraft and a wide range of army equipment. This will be accompanied by a variety of music, lucky draws and interactive events such as climbing walls and competitions inside and out. Ruby Turner's major break came in the mid 1980's, when she was asked to join 'Culture Club' at the height of their stardom. An offer of a solo record deal closely followed and she soon signed to Jive Records, part of the Zomba Group. Four albums and a "Best of" Compilation Album were all released to critical acclaim over the next few years making Ruby a household name.

The Morecambe Gospel Bayfest returns for a second year. The weekend will be a celebration of Gospel music and will feature artists from throughout the British Isles.
