An addition to the Mozartfest calendar this year is this full-length Friday afternoon concert featuring three current and recent members of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists. The Siberian-born pianist Pavel Kolesnikov contributes solo music by Chopin and Mozart; he joins forces with the Norwegian violist Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad in Brahms’s late E flat Sonata (originally written for clarinet); and the Belgian clarinettist Annelien Van Wauwe adds a woodwind voice in three of the Eight Pieces by Max Bruch, the Fairy Stories by Schumann and the Trio which Mozart is said to have written while playing skittles.

This concert is being recorded by BBC Radio 3 for future broadcast.
venue: The Guildhall, High Street, Bath
